One of the best things you can do for your writing career is attend a writer’s conferences. The first one I attended was the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference near Asheville, NC in 2005.

It was an intense week of meeting other writers (some very well-known), editors, and agents. My eyes were opened to the world of writing for publication. I laughed. I cried. I grew.
